Why is Binance not available in my country?
Exchanges need licences or registrations country by country. Where they don't have one, or local law bans the service, they block sign-ups. Recent examples:

Can I use Binance in China?
On February 6, 2026, the People's Bank of China and seven other agencies issued Notice 42 (replacing the 2021 notice). It says crypto-related business is illegal financial activity and that offshore entities may not provide these services to people in China (People's Bank of China). This applies to Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget and every other offshore exchange.

Is Binance legit or a scam?
Binance is not a scam. It's the world's largest crypto exchange, licensed in many places, and publishes proof of reserves. Some history to know:
- In 2023 Binance and founder Changpeng Zhao pleaded guilty in the US; Zhao served his sentence and was pardoned in October 2025.
- In December 2025 Yi He became co-CEO alongside Richard Teng.
- In 2026 Binance paused services in several EU countries after missing a MiCA licence.

Why can't I download the Binance app?
If Binance doesn't serve your country, the app is usually removed from your local app store. The same goes for OKX in restricted regions.
The biggest trap is searching for a “Binance APK” in search ads, group chats or video comments. Many of these are cloned apps that steal your login and deposits.
- Only download from the link on the exchange's official website or an official app store;
- check the developer name after installing, and verify links inside the app;
- never install a “fast”, “VIP” or “high-yield” version someone sends you.
Is signing up for Binance safe?
Signing up on the real Binance site is safe. The risks come from elsewhere:
