Which exchange is cheapest?

On paper, MEXC charges 0% on spot and futures maker orders, the lowest in the table. Lowest fee isn't the same as lowest cost, or best for beginners:

  • 0% usually applies only to maker orders; the market orders beginners use still pay;
  • thin order books can make slippage on a market order cost more than the fee;
  • rates change: MEXC raised its API futures rates in June 2026;
  • check safety and withdrawals first; a small fee saving comes second.

Among top-tier exchanges, OKX with OK66688 has the lowest futures rates, and its spot maker rate beats Binance's BNB rate, with no token to hold.

Cheapest exchange for perpetual futures

Futures fees are charged on position size: 1,000 USDT margin at 10x is a 10,000 USDT position, so small rate differences get multiplied.

OKX (with OK66688)0.04%8 USDT
Binance (BNB)0.045%9 USDT
OKX (no code) / Binance0.05%10 USDT
Bybit0.055%11 USDT
Bitget0.06%12 USDT

Futures use leverage and can wipe out your margin quickly. Practise with demo trading first; no fee saving is worth risking real money to learn.
